WAGES, SALARY, FEE, ROYALTY
В Англии словом wages обозначается заработная плата рабочих, мелких торговых работников, служащих и т. д., обычно выплачиваемая поденно или понедельно, словом salary – заработная плата банковских работников, преподавателей и других высокооплачиваемых категорий служащих, которая выплачивается, как правило, раз или два в месяц. Fee соответствует русскому 'плата за услуги, вознаграждение, гонорар' и употребляется, когда речь идет о частной практике врачей, юристов и т. д.' В специфическом значении 'авторский гонорар' (вознаграждение за книгу, изобретение и т. д.) употребляется royalty.
